Emma has worked as an actor, director and vocalist within professional theatre both in the UK, Canada, US and Europe. Whilst touring Emma found her love of producing and developed her project management skills by organising world tours for a number of independent productions.
After completing her training at The Bristol Old Vic Drama School, Emma worked alongside young film makers at UCLA (Los Angeles) for six years whilst exploring projects across both North and South America. In 2011 Emma spent time in Bolivia and Argentina where she worked alongside 'Exceptional' developing theatre workshops for children living in some of the hardest environments.
In 2014 Emma established Tempest Theatre Company, along with author Elliot James, to develop and deliver Shakespeare workshops to young people training in the performing arts in Los Angeles.

On returning to the UK Emma completed a Masters in Shakespeare in Performance - at the Shakespeare Institute in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her Masters dissertation focused on theatre economics and strategic marketing to sell high end theatre.
In 2017 Emma worked alongside the RSC and BBC Radio 3 for the 'Shakespeare 400th' celebrations at The Other Place Stratford Upon Avon - performing Sonnet 89 for BBC radio 3.
Emma is an independent producer and works under the company name of Little Box Productions. Emma has also taught sessions at Drama Studio London, East 15 and various other universities and programmes around the country.

Emma's directing credits include: Bette and Joan (Frinton Summer Theatre) A Bunch of Amateurs (Sir John Mills Theatre); The Caucasian Chalk Circle (touring); Stones in His Pocket (touring); The Enquiry (touring).

Between 2019 and 2023 Emma was Co-Producer for Frinton Summer Theatre where she managed the day to day operations and planning for the Summer season - which comprises of 7 productions back to back between July/August and is the longest running professional repertory theatre in the country. Emma also works as the Assistant Producer for Brill Productions, most recently for 'Abigail's Party' and 'Ghosts of the Titanic' at Park Theatre London and David Copperfield at Riverside Studios London.​
Emma is currently the Artistic Programmer at South Mill Arts and from December 2024 Emma will be joining the Ipswich Regent Theatre and Ipswich Corn Exchange Theatre as the Shows, Programming and Finance Manager.

In January 2024 Emma set up the Frinton Comedy Club , welcoming names such as Milton Jones and Rich Hall. In October 2024 Emma established the Frinton Children's Festival, offering children's activities, parties and performances alongside workshops during half terms.

Emma loves travel, and has written a number of travel blogs and is currently pursuing a challenge to visit every seaside pier in the UK. However, Emma's true love is for her cat Mr Petrukin, whose name is as 'Well to do' as he is!
